Triton
Triton
This underwater portrait explores the grace and quiet force of the male form immersed in shifting light. Above the surface, reflection fractures the body into two worlds; below it, strength becomes a softened silhouette shaped by the slow movement of water. The name Triton evokes the ancient messenger of the sea—part human, part tide—whose presence carried both power and calm. In this work, that duality emerges through gesture, suspension, and the delicate distortion of the underwater lens, inviting the viewer into a moment of peaceful transformation.
Each print is individually crafted, allowing gentle variations to emerge—quiet, natural signatures of the artist’s hand.
Printed with Genuine Canon archival pigment inks, these giclées carry rich color, deep blacks, and remarkable stability. The pigments rest upon the paper’s surface, creating lightfast, water-resistant works that remain vibrant for decades.
They are paired with Canson® Infinity Edition Etching Rag, a 100% cotton, museum-grade paper made at the historic Canson Mill in Annonay, France. Free of Optical Brightening Agents, it offers a pure natural white, a soft grain, and exceptional resistance to aging.
This series is a total edition of 250, created across various sizes.
All prints are signed and numbered on the back (en verso).
When ordered 16 × 20 or larger, the image may be printed with a border and signed on the front beneath the image upon request.
Select prints may include delicate touches of PanPastels or other fine-art mediums, softly enhancing the surface before the final preservation layer.
Small prints are finished with a light veil of cold wax, sealing the pigments and giving the work a gentle, luminous sheen.
Ink, paper, and hand craftsmanship come together to create prints of quiet, enduring radiance.
