Delphin is inspired by the gentle sea daimon who persuaded the Nereid Amphitrite to wed Poseidon. In this modern interpretation, the myth’s essence is rendered in fluid layers of translucent wax and color — motion, persuasion, and grace suspended in time. The work captures the liminal space between loyalty and longing, where light ripples like memory across the surface of the sea. Playful and fun sea nymph.

Created through a process that merges modern photography and printmaking with the ancient art of encaustic, layers of molten beeswax, oils, and resins are built up and fused with fire. The textured surface invites touch, its translucent depth suggesting both concealment and revelation.
